Quick Log - FS Guide

The quick log feature can be accessed by clicking the “+” icon towards the top of the left navigation menu. By default, this icon will open a fly out to log a message,

but if you hover over it, you can also choose to start a case, add a note to a profile, or add people to the system (either individually or en masse via the import system).

  • Log a Message

    • Logging a message is as simple as clicking the “+” and typing out the message into the system. Once the message is entered, select the blue “Log as…” options above to record it!

    • Be sure you get the constituent’s contact information in order to properly record the message by either finding their profile in the system or (if they don’t have one) creating a new one.

  • Start a Case

    • Starting a case using the quick log works similarly to logging a message. By filling out the required info and assigning the case to a profile in the system (or creating one), you can make a case right from the quick log in minutes!

  • Make a note

  • Making a note on a person’s profile is as simple as hovering over the “+” and selecting “Make a note!” From there, you just need to record the message for the person’s profile. Be sure to collect the person’s contact information to search to see if they are in your system already and if not so you can make a profile for them.

You can create constituent profiles by hovering over the "+"  and select "Add a Person" and quickly create the profile.

  • Tips and Tricks

    • “Phone Calls” logging template - To help staff unfamiliar with your batches and form letters, we recommend using a logging template that routes mail to a “Phone Calls” batch and simply uses a placeholder form letter (to be changed later). This logging template can be set as the default so it’s auto-selected. Then, staff just need to worry about picking the right constituent, and then the LC can worry about managing the batch and re-routing inbound mail appropriately.
