If you have duplicate cases for the same constituent, the cases can be merged together into one case file.
1. Open up the case you wish to merge into the main file
2. Select the 3 dots in the upper right corner
3. Select 'Merge into another case'
4. Search for the name of the constituent. You can verify the case ID number, the name, the agency contact, the case status, and case description
5. Select
6. You will receive another popup asking you to verify the case number
7. Ok
8. The cases have now been merged. There will be a note in the casefile with the old case number, the date it was merged, and the name of the staffer who completed the merge.
The closed out case will still be accessible from clicking on the case number or from the constituent's profile. There will be a similar note in the closed case with the updated case number, date, and staffer.
