Fireside State Audience Visualizer (Mapping)

Fireside has updated their audience tool to allow users to visualize the addresses in their district. After constructing your audience, just click the “Map” tab in the audience editor to see where constituents are in their district, as well as clusters of homes and individual profiles.

Create An Audience

Under the “Edit” tab, create an audience by adding rules under the “Include” and “Exclude” sections. The audience editor allows users to add multiple rules for more precise targeting, but be sure to pay attention to how your audience is built. If an audience has no rules, the tool will not be able to locate anyone in the next tab.

Using the Map

After you click on the refresh button next to “Matched X People” to get a live count of people in your audience, click on the “Map” tab to see the audience on your district’s map. The rules you applied in the “Edit” tab will automatically transfer to the “Map” tab.

The circles represent clusters of people on the map. Green circles have the least amount of people, followed by orange, and then red. The blue pins represent individual constituents. You can click on the pin to view the constituent’s profile in your emanager.

If you want to update this audience but still see the map, then you can use the “Include” and “Exclude” sections on the right side to update your audience. Once you have made your edits, click on the refresh button next to “Matched X People” to view the changes. Just like under the “Edit” tab, you can limit your audience to people with a known address in your district by checking the box next to “Restrict to district.”

Only profiles that are backed by Fireside voter data will appear on the map. To see how many profiles from the audience appear on the map, click on the red “!” button the top-right side of the map.

When you are done making edits to your audience, click the “Save” button in the upper-right corner to keep your changes.
