Adding or Editing Content on a Page

  1. Navigate to Website > Pages.

  2. Find desired folder and then page you wish to edit.

  3. Here is how you can track down where to find a specific page in Fireside:

    • Example Page: http://joecongressman.house.gov/ConstituentServices/StudentAid.htm/.

    • The text immediately after the ".gov/" indicated the folder (bolded above). Thus, you should edit the above page in the Constituent Services folder.

    • Once in the folder, use the rest of URL (underlined portion above) to find the specific page. In this case, it's Student Aid.

  4. If you wish to add a link, header, or separate text component, click on the "Add Component" button above the page you want to edit. If you are just editing an existing component, please skip to step 5.

  5. Choose a component type to be added from the "Type" dropdown box:

    • External Link: To add a link to the page outside the website.

    • Internal Link: To add a link to the page within the website.

    • Header: To add a header above text.

    • Text: To add a text box for desired text.

  6. Click the blue component name link under the appropriate page.

  7. Enter or edit the content of the component.

  8. Click the "Save" button at bottom of the page.

  9. Components can be re-ordered on the page by clicking the up and down arrows located to the right of each component.
