When reviewing the Advocacy Campaign filter in the inbox, Fireside has an easy way to compare messages within that campaign to see how they are similar and where they differ from one another.
The A|B Comparisons tool shows you a comparison of the text between the message you’re looking at and the one immediately to its left. This is most useful for campaigns, since the content of campaign messages are usually almost identical, though occasionally some are personalized.
To begin using the tool, click the "A|B" button under the horizontal list to the left of the subject
If you have the first piece of mail in the horizontal list selected, you won’t see anything change, since there is nothing to its left.
However, if you click over to the second piece of mail in the horizontal list, you will see any new text highlighted in yellow and the old text from the mail to the left crossed out. It will look like this:
You can then either click through each piece of mail in the campaign, or use the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to quickly scroll through the messages within the campaign to determine if any of them have unique text that merits a special response.
If you find any unique mail, you have the choice to log it on its own (with other personalized messages), or it can be treated as just another campaign message and logged together with all the other emails.
Use the orange "Log Selected" button to log just that one unique piece of mail within the campaign. When you’re done logging any unique mail, you can click “Log All” to log the rest of the messages from that campaign. You can then use the up or down arrow keys on your keyboard to go to the next campaign in the vertical list.
