You can now add pronouns to people records in Fireside! This tutorial covers where to locate the pronouns field on people records and how to add them. For instructions on creating new person and populating the default fields on their record, you can consult our page here on adding a person in Fireside.

Locate the record via people search in Fireside. You can do this by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of your screen, then typing in the constituent's name, email, or mailing address to narrow down the search. Once you locate the record, open it by clicking on the constituent’s name.

Once you have the profile pulled up, look to the top-right corner of your screen and click the pencil to the right of “Contact Information.” Once you select the pencil icon, the “Name” tab will be the first tab to appear. From here, look down the list and you will see the “Pronouns” dropdown bar. Select the preferred pronouns for the constituent, and click the blue “Save” button at the top of your screen.
3. Once saved, the pronouns you selected will be displayed by their full name at the top of the constituent record. Adding pronouns to a constituent’s record will also add them to any form letter that has the [FullName] merge field applied and will be included in outbound correspondence.
Below is an example form letter with the [FullName] merge field and pronouns included:
