What is Multi Select? It's a response where a constituent can choose multi answers from a list. This survey is one of the formats that can be embedded into a newsletter.
Let's get started!
Go to Website>Survey. Click the blue"+" button on the top right hand corner of the page. Give the survey a name which will be the title of the new page on your website., and click "Create".
Add a question to the survey
To add a new question to the survey click the blue 'insert field' button in the top-right corner. You'll have three options, but to create this survey, you'll want to select "New".
New: This option is for when you want to make a brand new question that hasn't been asked before or used.
Then you'll want to select " Multi Select" from the drop down menu.
Then you'll need to name the field, usually it will be the name of the question and then you'll need to add the question in "Text shown on the form".
Next you'll need to add the response options, by clicking on " Add response" in the field one at a time.
Additional fields:
Opt-in, and Email fields are already pre-populated once you create the survey. The Opt-in field is marked as hidden and required - this will automatically opt-in anyone who takes the survey. The Email field is marked as required. You can add a footer message, which is used most times as a disclaimer that by completing this survey you're agreeing to be opted-in to receive messaging from the office or something along those lines.
Once you've added all the responses and the survey is ready to go live, you'll want to hit " Publish" at the top. You can preview the survey, by hitting "Preview" . You'll also want to review if submissions should route to the Fireside CRM and /or to a House issued email address be clicking on " Send To". Note, The survey must be published before using it on newsletters, websites, or forms letters.
Embedding Survey:
To embed your Multi Select survey into a newsletter, you can follow the steps in this survey embedder guide
