This guide is for LC’s to review as they make preparations to leave an office and hand the Fireside reins to their successor. Please review the list below and send a ticket to help@fireside21.com so we can help streamline your office’s transition. If a successor has not already been chosen, please leave this page with your supervisor so that the incoming LC can take appropriate action. In most cases, you will simply want items in Fireside assigned to you to be reassigned to the new staffer for a seamless transition. Note: Fireside can only really reassign items if ownership is transferred to a single successor. If items are distributed between numerous staff, those changes must be made individually.

Mail, Batches, and Form Letters: Designate a staffer that will be taking over all currently assigned mail, batches, and form letters assigned to you. Fireside can update the assignee for these records en masse.

Logging Templates: If there are any logging templates (i.e., phone calls, etc.) that log mail directly to you, we should get those reassigned to your successor. Just designate the appropriate person taking those over, and we can assist. Note: The batches to which the mail is logged via these logging templates should also be updated.

Casework: This is less common for LC’s to handle, but if you do have any cases, make sure those have been properly reassigned.

Automations: Ask Fireside to update any automations currently assigning you mail. These should either be mass-deactivated or updated to change the assignee (ideally to your replacement).

Inbox - Default Assignee: Did you have Fireside previously add a setting to make you the default assignee in the inbox for any mail items logged? If so, let us know who the new LC should be, and we can update that setting.
To new LC’s: Please make sure to check the My Mail page (Mailroom > My Mail) to review all unbatched and batched mail assigned to you, your predecessor, and colleagues. If there is any old or current mail that needs to be handled in some fashion, please check in with us to see your options.
