Automations - FS Guide

  • Automations are routing rules which can be set up to identify incoming mail with specific criteria, such as the message’s subject, tagged issue code(s), the constituent’s address or inbound history, etc., designating a specific response/procedure with which to handle mail that fulfill the inbound criteria. This can include logging mail with a specific form letter or to a certain batch, tagging the sender with an affiliation code, and/or closing out the mail with no response.

  • The automations page offers helpful information such as how many mail items have been processed by the automation, how long it’s been active, when it was last used, etc.

    • It is to your benefit to keep an eye on how many automations your office has active. They do not turn off unless you turn them off and sometimes one can be dormant for over a year and be triggered. This can be helpful, but in other instances, it can be the opposite. Keep an eye on whether you have an excessive amount of old automations, and let us know if you would like to close out some en masse!
