The news section, like issue pages, is a specialized section of your website that allows you to publish specific documents and organize/associate them together. Whether it’s a press release, a news article, floor statement, etc., you can group together documents of a specific type

You can edit your site’s news document types by clicking the snowman icon on the main news page in Fireside.

All news items published to the site are housed at http://membername.house.gov/news/ . Each news document type has its own landing page for all news of that type.

News items can also be associated with issue pages. Any news items associated with an issue page will automatically appear under Related News on the issue page.

You can also associate photos and/or files with a news document so that they will appear linked at the bottom of the page.

News items must be published to appear on the site. In this sense, you can create a news item but keep it embargoed and unavailable on the main site until your office is ready.
