Getting your Message Approved

 

Statuses

You have an option to set statuses on newsletters. Only messages with the “Approve” status will be able to be sent. Similarly, you can only edit a message if it has a non-approved status.

This allows staff to move a newsletter through the office’s preferred approval process prior to sending. For example, a Chief of Staff can easily approve the message from their email and an intern can add content without the chance of sending an assigned message.

Statuses also help keep track on the progress on the newsletter. To switch the status of the newsletter, click on the downward carrot next to the current status, and click on the new status.

After selecting the new status, a pop-up will appear that allows you to assign the message to another Fireside user. When reassigning a message, you have the option to leave comments that can be seen in the email notification.
